Danny and Kirsty’s Wedding – Chinese Tea Ceremony and Banquet at the Sunway resort hotel

Danny and Kirsty celebrated their wedding day in January 2009 with traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and then followed up with a wedding banquet in the Grand Lagoon ballroom at Sunway resort hotel and spa. This wedding was full of emotion and a really fun experience. I believe it was this wedding that convinced me to start packing ear plugs for the traditional fire crackers we;come committee.

Stunning Chinese Styled wedding on Penang Hill

Wedding on Penang Hill

Amy and Henry’s wedding ceremony and dinner were on top of Penang hill. They had a TROPICAL 60’s theme. This wedding was notable for absolutely STUNNING views coupled with what has to be the most precarious tea ceremony I have covered so far. I was hanging on from the out side of the small venue.

Chinese wedding at St Andrews Church and dinner banquet at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur

CK and Jennifer celebrated their nuptials at St. Andrews church in Kuala Lumpur. We started with a tea ceremony at Jennifers before heading to church. Later in the day the second tea ceremony was at the JW Marriott. We also did portraits there before the dinner banquet.

Super Fun Chinese Tea Ceremony with a difference

Chinese wedding tea ceremony in Kajang with VSOP

This is going to be a fun post. Last Sunday’s wedding in Kajang. Chinese tea ceremonies run the whole gamut of emotions. Sometimes they are just outrageously fun! This was certainly one of them. I strongly believe weddings should be F-U-N. In this case the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony was an opportunity for some early morning hijinks in the form of Wine, Brandy, Coffee mix and some outrageously large beer jugs! Well, I will let the photos speak for themselves. Fantastic.
