Naoko is from Japan and works at the PJ Hilton as the wedding and events manager. Her wedding was held at the Hilton in Central, Kuala Lumpur. I was delighted when she called me regarding being her actual day wedding photographer. There were lots of friends from the hotel industry present and as you can see it was a fun wedding day. The day started with a traditional Chinese Bridal bargaining, and then moved on to a traditional Tea Ceremony and then a mighty fine dinner. Naoko’sView full post »

Fujifilm asked us to do a corporate shoot for them at their Menara Axis, Petaling Jaya Office for the launching of their new product Astalift. Astalift is pretty much a house hold brand name in Japan, and ranks in the same stratospheric market of skin products as SK-II. I have personally used their gel and I can tell you it is really good stuff!
Here is an info blurb from their web site:
“Created by FUJIFILM, ASTALIFT is an award-winning brand that offers carefully-researched skincare andView full post »

Areena’s wedding dinner at the Shangrila Hotel Kuala Lumpur. We covered their engagement, Quran reading, wedding and grand reception at the Shangrila Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. There were quite a number of Malaysian royalty, former PMs and the current DPM present. Sheila Majid sang some of her great songs too. The couple out shone everyone though. They are the real celebrities. All the best for your future together.

Over the years I have been to many hotels throughout Malaysia and wanted to put up some of my suggestions.
Four Seasons Langkawi Island: Intimate and quiet. The perfect honeymoon destination where everyone know your name. You can enjoy the infinite pool, water sports, cycle rides to waterfalls. his hotel tops my list for couples who want that something special. They have a variety of specials for honeymoon couples so best you call ahead.

First dance together. The Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
A quick posting of another wedding. John and Deborah’s wedding was held at Assumption Church Petaling Jaya. Their Chinese wedding banquet dinner was at the Hotel Intercontinental, Kuala Lumpur, formerly known as the Nikko Hotel. Their Chinese tea ceremonies were held at home. Deborah chose a fantastic looking wedding gown and a really striking cheongsam for dinner.

Jasmine and Francis celebrated their wedding in style with an out-door ceremony at Cyberview Lodge. The wedding ceremony included the release of some fairly “reluctant-to-fly” doves, and, as Francis was formerly of the Alley Cats, the evening was filled with wine, women and songs from many of the guests.

Dominic and Wei-Wei celebrated their wedding ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort in Langkawi. This is one of my favourite destination wedding resorts. The hotel pulled out all the stops to make sure this was a fairy tale wedding. The weather held, and we had a great party that night. Lanterns finished off the evening.

When Suresh and Shamini contacted me to be their wedding photographer they explained it would be a two…well actually 3 day affair. The first day, not featured here, was their ROM (Registration of Marriage) done in Kuala Lumpur. The second day was held in Ipoh at one of the Anglican churches, Church of St John the Divine, St John’s Road, Ipoh, to be precise. This was followed by dinner in the Ipoh town hall. One thing I must point out, is that the photographers crowding the coupleView full post »

In Malay culture the bride-to-be has a ceremony which is meant to be a time of reflection and thanks giving for her upcoming wedding. Men are usually not present other than the photography and video teams. Here we see Areena’s Katam the day before her wedding.

Edwin and Ekwan contacted me to be the photographer for their wedding at the freshly revamped Hilton in Petaling Jaya. The morning was a tradition Chinese wedding complete with fun and games. The girls had fun and collected lots of money before Edwin got in to the house to meet his blushing bride. Ekwan looked stunning as you can see in the above photo. In the evening friends and family converged on the Hilton PJ for the wedding banquet.

Tony Blair was the guest of honour at a special dinner event in Kuala Lumpur. The event was low key, so not mentioned in many newspapers. We were chosen to be the photography team to cover the event. For those who don’t know, Tony Blair served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, from 1997 to 2007.

Tim and Anna contacted me to be their photographer for their wedding at the Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hill Resort near Genting. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather held up well. The hotel has a French theme and this was played upon for the dinner that followed later in the evening by the use of masks at the banquet. Sort of a masked dinner type theme. As you can see, everyone had a fun experience.

Laverne and Jin’s red getaway car!
When I received a call from Laverne and Jin regarding being their wedding photographer I was really happy. I have taken the wedding photos for many of the leadership team at City Harvest Church (CHC) including their pastors, and had seen them at several of these weddings. This is in their new church which is fantastic! Their bright candy red VW combi wedding car was also a stunner.

Afterwards we headed to the Marriott Hotel where the wedding reception was held. Blenheim Palace is a very pretty location for wedding portraits
Alan and Khami’s wedding was a two day event. The first day was a Hindu wedding at the new Shri Subramanya Shrine in Birmingham. It was on the same day as Prince William And Kate Middleton’s big day, so auspicious as they come. The second event was wedding portraiture and a fantastic wedding breakfast at the Orangery, Blenheim Palace, Oxford. The gardens there are phenomenal. Larry and Pauline’s wedding was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Brickfields. It is one of the older churches, being built in 1924. Stephen Foong was the wedding planner for the day and we often meet up with him at weddings. The venue for the wedding dinner was the Berjaya Times Square hotel. We have shot there fairly regularly over the years and it has an interesting ballroom set up.
