A list of all the latest family, corporate, model shoots and wedding photography shoots in a chronological order. This is by no means and extensive list. It takes time to put posts together and the busier I am the less likely for me to update here. I am also constrained by server space.

Bride and Groom with Helicopter

Dinesh and Urscilla’s Wedding

Dinesh’s dad is a pilot. Dinesh and Urscilla had a beautiful wedding at St Barnabas Church in Klang. The ceremony was carried out by close family members who are in the clergy with the Anglican and Methodist churches.  The brides saree was very beautiful and the long veil was last used by the groom mum at her wedding. As Dinesh’s dad is a pilot, it was fitting to arrive at the reception in a helicopter. The dinner was held at the Grand Dorsett in Subang Jaya. It was a BIG receptionView full post »

Stunning electric blue evening gown. Fuji Xpro1 and 35mm f1.4 at f1.4, 1/90th second, ISO200. Aperture priority mode. This afternoon we took Hari and Shangkeree out into the country side outside of Kuala Lumpur to take their pre-wedding portraits.  I was equipped with my Nikon gear (Oooo……. the weight builds up after shooting with these for so many years!) and also my trusty Fuji Xpro1 equipped with the 35mm f1.4. My shooting partner eyed it with great interest. He also shoots withView full post »

This wedding was shot using the Nikon D3 and the Fuji X-Pro1 and X-E1 cameras. The images below all came from the Fuji X-E1. We like it’sView full post »

Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 Kimberley Leggett

Photoshoot for Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 Kimberley Leggett

Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 Kimberley Leggett I was contacted to provide a photo shoot for Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 Kimberley Leggett for the run up to the Miss Universe 2012 finals in Vegas in December. Part of the experience for each contestant are the photo shoots in evening gowns and swimsuits so we simulated this experience to help Kimberley for her build up. Most Miss Universe contestants are not professional models (but many go on to become one) so these types of shoots are valuable.View full post »

BFM Interview with Freda Liu

The lovely Freda Liu at her desk at the BFM studio in BU8. I was interviewed by Freda Liu on BFM recently. A lot of friends from around the globe tuned in to hear it live. It was a bit nerve-racking when I realised there was a web cam trained on me! Everything is spontaneous and un-rehearsed. I hope you enjoy listening to the interview. Please note you can either view it below complete with a video slide show, or click the picture above which will open a new window or tab and play an mp3.View full post »

Fujifilm X-Pro1 as a wedding camera

A heavy kick of rice wine in traditional Kadazan bamboo cups shot with the Fuji X-Pro1 and XF35mm F1.4 R shot at 1/50 sec F1.4 ISO2000 Back in September I covered a wedding in Kota Kinabalu and had the FujiFilm X-Pro1 along with me. While relying on my main DSLRs I wanted to test out the viability of using Fuji’s retro styled camera for weddings. My background was from way back when we used film, including the Leica M series of cameras. Since those days cameras have gotten bigger andView full post »

Mark and Liz’s Wedding reception at Cockliffe Country House Hotel & Restaurant, Nottinghamshire

After their wedding (view here) Mark and Liz joined their wedding guests for the reception held in the idyllic surroundings of the Cockliffe Country House Hotel & Restaurant. They opted for a canopy and tent which gave the images a beautiful diffused light. The weather held up well, which in turn meant we could all enjoy the grounds both before, during and after the reception. We had covered portraits at the church but opted for a few more inside Cockliffe as well. Cockliffe Country HouseView full post »

Ryan and Rebecca's Kuantun Wedding at St Thomas and the Hyatt

Ryan and Rebecca’s Wedding at St Thomas Church and the Hyatt Regency, Kuantan

The beautiful bride Rebecca asked me to be her wedding photographer back in May this year. Like many of my out station brides the first time we met was the night before the wedding when we checked into our hotel. After that it was off to the rehearsal at St Thomas Church in the middle of Kuantan town. Rebecca’s family were most welcoming when we met them there and we went through the rehearsal with them. The next morning we kicked the actual wedding day off with family photos at their newView full post »

Mac and Kevin’s Wedding at Our Lady of Lourdes, Klang and Cyberview Lodge

Mac and Kevin approached me to be their wedding photographer earlier this year. it was a two day event with their Roman Catholic wedding at Our Lady of Lourdes in Klang, followed by lunch and their tea ceremony. It turned out to be one of the most fun tea ceremonies to date, possibly because lunch was so much fun. A few weeks later we were down at Cyberview Lodge to cover the official wedding banquet dinner. As you can see it was a lot of fun! Originally posted 2012-10-06 14:26:22.View full post »

Melissa and Donovan’s Wedding in Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Hyatt Hotel in Kota Kinabalu

Melissa and Donovan called me from Kota Kinabalu to ask whether I would be interested to fly over to be their wedding photographer for their big day in Sabah. Melissa is Kadazan which is an instant draw card for me. I have been the wedding photographer for a number of Sabahan’s in Kuala Lumpur and I have always enjoyed the traditional Sumazau dance which seems to get everyone up onto the dance floor regardless of race or religion. The church service was in Sacred Heart Cathedral.View full post »

Mark and May Choo’s Wedding in Winford, Bristol

Wedding at the Parish Church of St. Mary and St Peter Winford Keep Calm and Carry On! Words I wish every bride I met would take to heat, and very much the theme for Mark and May. Two of the loveliest people I know. Johnny, Hock Seng and I were their wedding photographers when they were married back here in Malaysia. After the wedding the migrated down to Australia but when ever they were back in KL they would give me a buzz to remind me they wanted me to be up in Winford for their UK weddingView full post »

Barry Wong’s wedding ceremony was performed at the  Calvary Church in Damansara Heights. This was one of the most touching weddings of 2012, and it was obvious Barry was head over heels in love with his wife. In the Christian tradition marriage is the highestView full post »
