Hi Grant (& Hock Seng & John),
Just wanted to say thank you for your marvelous work on our wedding day!
From the moment you & Hock Seng arrived, not only did you two bring a terrific attitude and started snapping away, you guys also brought a sense of great fun and added to the heightened joy that I was already feeling. Together with my makeup artist and hairstylist in the room I had since I was a little girl, it felt like a great bunch of old friends who were just hanging out (hanging out on a special day!). And moments into that, I just didn't feel like you guys were there anymore - you were so 'invisible' and quiet with what you were doing. John was excellent too - capturing the silent beauty of the church before the wedding started and making sure that everything else was perfectly in place.
It is so essential that fantastic photographers are hired for a wedding. Although I made sure to savour every precious moment of my wedding day, the day did go by quickly and this was when you guys gave your very all! Looking at the slideshow and photos just brings back wonderful memories, and so many photos managed to capture the laughter, cheers, stolen kisses in church, us grinning while listening to funny touching speeches...basically the unexpected moments we had because we were simply so happy. The composition of photos was genius - some of the photos looked like they could go into magazines and ads! I have so many photos that I want to print and display in my new home because they look REALLY REALLY good.
I have nothing but praise for you guys - and you can be rest assured that word of mouth is the best form of promotion and advertising!

"I knew I would hire this superb wedding photographer, Mr. Grant Corban way before I got engaged. It was a serendipity incident to chance upon his website a few years back. He definitely is one of the pioneer wedding photographer in Malaysia who has a website set up to publish their work. Trust me, a few years back, if you google 'wedding photographer Malaysia', there were only a handful of websites that would show up. The wedding photography industry has definitely bloomed in a fast speed in recent years.
Grant, a New Zealander currently based in the Klang Valley, Malaysia is a godsend photographer. If you take sometime to browse his work, you would totally agree with me. I bet "Wow!" would be the common reaction. Personally I prioritize wedding photography over many other details. Imagine putting so much effort into your special day and if you don't have someone savvy to capture the moments, the details would be lost. While wedding would come and go, the memories and great photos, are meant to be kept forever. Consequently, after we had the wedding date set, he was the first wedding vendor that I knew I had to secure, which I did. Believe me, a famous photographer like him, you better book him like a year in advance just to avoid disappointment. Otherwise, be prepared to change your date because some dates can be extraordinarily popular!
Actually, this is not all Grant does. Certainly he is very good at what he does when it comes to photography, but he has this 'going above and beyond' quality that I so have to write about. As everyone could imagine, wedding day could be one of the most stressful day in one's life. And like a Malaysian bride who is currently residing in overseas, things could get even tougher. With this very reason, the extremely thoughtful Mr. Corban, has created a forum (Grant: currently under renovation) gathering many other wonderful resources for grooms and bride-to-bes. His forum has existed way before Weddings Malaysia was founded. With his help, I managed to find ourselves a great wedding videographer (Mr. Yee from Y2C Videography and a very experienced make-up and hair stylist (Ms. Hanna Liew). I certainly could not imagine having to go through the process without Grant's forum. With his help, I managed to put together, in my dim view, a world class ensemble for our felicity wedding.
On the actual day, I was even more amazed by this 'team'. Due to the fact that they had worked together so many times before, they had built up a very solid mutual understanding between them. A very good example would be the work between the photographers and the videographer. They obviously know each other's style so much that they do not hinder each other's work (I had seen photographer and videographer fought for good angles during other event). I found their mutual respect astonishing. Oh not to mention the jokes they generated. I was like a bride embraced by a gang of good friends and was constantly lightened up by their good spirits.
I just can't say enough how impressed I was with their work.
Another beauty of hiring Grant, would be the value of the work. While you hire Grant for your event, you are hiring not one, two, but THREE very professional photographers shooting for your day. This team of three ensures an even more complete coverage for your event. With their professional experience, the photojournalistic as well as artistic elements could all be attended. Speak about value of money huh? This is oh-so-worth-it!
Honestly I was a little bit upset after that day was over. Everything happened so fast I felt that I didn't have a chance to really grasp what was going on. There were even some small regrets here and there. Yet, after revisiting the photos just before I type this post, I found myself feeling relief because it was a wonderful and special day we had. The weather was divine, and everyone we love was there for us. True it wasn't perfect, but it was as good as it could get.
I don't intend to brag, but after I revisited the photos I just couldn't help but to have this reaction.
